Week 6: Beyond the Classroom Walls with Explain Everything

An app to explain anything and everything! Explain Everything is an app that allows students to create, collaborate, communicate and consume content. It is essentially an app with whiteboard screen that allows users to record video, audio, draw, and move objects while recording in real time. The end products can be images, videos and template for projects. Explain Everything allows users to annotate any object on the iPad screen with the touch of their finger. Easily capture your screen and share it virtually with anyone.

How to Get Started
When you first open the Explain Everything app, tap “+” in the upper left corner and choose a color template. A new project will open and on the left side of the screen, you’ll see a self-explanatory panel of tools. The area of each slide allows for infinite presentation space, as all content can be scaled and cropped as needed. At the bottom of the screen is a red record button that allows you to capture the slide creation process step by step. You can narrate the content as it appears and embed video from your device to help explain the content on the screen.
